The Creative Talent Workshop
www.creativetalentworkshop.com offers this advice to parents interested in getting their kids into
Modeling/Acting.
#1 Create a contact letter for the local talent agents
in your area. This will include all your contact
information including phone numbers and addresses. (If
they can not reach you they WILL NOT call you!) Also
include all sizes...correct sizes.
#2 Include in your contact letter 2 CURRENT pictures.
A close-up and a full body shot. Either use computer
pics on the letter or paste (non returnable) pictures
on your contact letter by glue stick.
#3 Note on your letter that you know any agency WILL
NOT offer a contract to someone so young, but ask to
be put on file. In case anything comes up.
#4 Send this letter again with updates pictures every
6-8 months. (Or when your child has changed their look
or size.)
#5 Do NOT call the Agency. They will call YOU if they
need your child. Pestering an Agency may lose your
child the chance at work, not from their lack of
marketability...but from lack of professionalism on
the parents' part.
Be flexible and ready when they call YOU!
