Why are there rules when anyone can break them? Like Kayla Taggert! Kayla Taggert the meanest... most despicable girl in our class. Here I sit in the Principal's Office and she roams the halls free. Picking on all the little kids... throwing them into lockers... pulling hair! I defend one kid. One little helpless girl in 2nd grade who happened to step up to the water fountain in front of Kayla and got boxed in the ears! I defend one kid... and Kayla and her minions put a bounty on me! I won't have it! Not at school! Not on the bus! Anywhere! I told my Mom and she said to tell a teacher! I told my Dad and he said to hit her... or kick her. And now I get to talk to the Principal and hear how difficult his job is.. and how kids need to be better friends... and all that respect mumbo jumbo! Bullying hurts. Not just the bruises (rubs arm) Not just the scars (looks under bandage on leg) It never hurts as bad on the outside as it does inside. I want to cry... but they all say if I cry.. then SHE wins! I want to scream! I want shout! I want (she stops cold and gets on her knees) Please... make them stop! ... Make them stop! (She sits again) Being good can be the loneliest feeling in the world!
